Once upon a television, a succession of shaggy-haired scene bands competed on Silent Library, the quietly silly game show that aired on MTV and MuchMusic.

Do you remember the time?

Acts from All Time Low to We the Kings took part in the reality TV series that initially aired from 2009 until 2011. Relive some of those moments in the videos down toward the bottom of this post.

The Zero Kazama-hosted show had contestants engaging in all sorts of outlandish challenges within a mock-up library. By the second season, it started involving some memorable musicians. Forever the Sickest Kids took part in an episode that aired on January 25, 2010. We the Kings appeared on the game show the month after.

But the third season of Silent Library was a real doozy. Talk about an all-star lineup of scene stars! All Time Low were on the broadcast from June 29, 2010. Hey Monday were in the next episode — it first aired the following day. An installment that July found Anarbor participating, and the season finale that August featured Never Shout Never.

Many episodes even featured musicians from different bands intermingling in the same unusual competitions. For example, the Hey Monday episode had singer Cassadee Pope and her fellow bandmates cavorting with Stereo Skyline members Kevin Bard and Brian Maddox.
