All Time Low are back with their first new music in over a year, the standalone single "Some Kind of Disaster."

Following the disappointing performance of 2017's Last Young Renegade album, the group is touting the tune released Tuesday (Jan. 21) as a reintroduction.

The band makes no bones about it in a comment shared to YouTube alongside the music video for "Some Kind of Disaster." It begins by explaining that the "Young Renegades are no more" before declaring, "Reintroducing your favorite disaster, All Time Low." Listen to the song and read the full statement down toward the bottom of this post.

In the video, the act further pokes fun at its slump by attending group therapy. It's a fitting portrayal considering Last Young Renegade's numbers compared to the album that came before it, Future Hearts. According to Billboard figures, Renegade moved 33,000 copies its first week. Future Hearts did 75,000 in the same amount of time.

That's a 56-percent drop from one album to the next. All Time Low's first-week achievement in 2015 — the band's biggest of their career — propelled Future Hearts to a No. 2 debut on the Billboard 200 chart. At the time, the group had left Hopeless Records for the current label, the Warner Music Group-owned Fueled by Ramen.

It's yet to be seen how All Time Low's next era will fare with longtime fans and casual listeners. For now, music fans can dig into "Some Kind of Disaster." In their comment, ATL add that they're "so excited for what comes next."

The Young Renegades are no more...

Reintroducing your favorite disaster, All Time Low. We took a step away for a minute- did some growing, did some soul searching, some healing... Now we're back and ready to be all yours again, our battle scars worn proudly, and our hair looking better than ever. (it's best if you just agree).

We've missed you all so much and we're so excited for what comes next. Feels like we've been keeping secrets from you for way too long... Been hard to keep our mouths shut, honestly.

It's a song and dance we've done a thousand times before, but this one feels extra-good. Besides, it's never the same dance twice. Hope you dig this new song as much as we do... After all, it's all for you.

All Time Low "Some Kind of Disaster" Lyrics
I’m a liar, I’m a cynic
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I’m a loser, I’m a critic
I’m the ghost of my mistakes
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
What are you after?
Some kind of disaster, yeah
I woke up from a never-ending dream
I shut my eyes at 17
I lost every moment in between
I felt the sun rise up and swallow me, yeah
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want

I’m a liar, I’m a cynic
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I’m a loser, I’m a critic
I’m the ghost of my mistakes
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
So what are you after?
Some kind of disaster
I crashed down from a high that felt so real
I never knew how much it would hurt to feel
You gotta hurt sometimes to learn to heal
You gotta get back up and learn to deal, yeah
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want

I’m a liar, I’m a cynic
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I’m a loser, I’m a critic
I’m the ghost of my mistakes
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
So what are you after?
Some kind of disaster
Well I’ve sung this song a thousand times
I wore the crown, I sold the lie
I lived the life and paid for every crime, yeah
It’s all downhill ’till it’s a climb
Through blood and tears, but I don’t mind
I’ll just keep singing on and on and on

And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want

‘Cause I’m a liar, I’m a cynic
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I’m a loser, I’m a critic
I’m the ghost of my mistakes
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
Yeah it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
So what are you after?
Some kind of disaster
