It looks like we could be getting a new Sleeping With Sirens song soon, and it sounds heavy.

Yesterday (Apr. 9), guitarist Jack Fowler took to Twitter to share a snippet of an unreleased track which was captioned "Sirens 2020." Check it out below:

Any new material would be the first Sleeping With Sirens music since last year's LP How It Feels To Be Lost, which saw the band returning to a heavier sound after the disappointing performance of their previous, pop-leaning album Gossip, which came out in 2017.

Scene musicians including Attila's Fronz and the Word Alive's Telle Smith both replied to Fowler's Tweet in approval of the new music.

Fronz seemingly couldn't believe the music belonged to Sleeping With Sirens; Smith, meanwhile, turned to a Ron Burgundy GIF to outline his reaction.

Earlier in the year, we reported how Sleeping With Sirens frontman Kellin Quinn had stated that he was open to the prospect of a 10-year-anniversary tour to celebrate debut album With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear, which came out in 2010.

Speaking to Kerrang!, Quinn said: "Would I do a 10-year anniversary tour? You know what, I wouldn’t be opposed to it, but I would definitely want to take it into the rehearsal space and make it a little bit more modern — and not so old-metalcore! I’d heavy it up to how we are now."

Note To Scene also recently published an op-ed where we discuss how Sleeping With Sirens' first LP changed the scene.

Last month, Sleeping With Sirens were forced to postpone their nationwide tour with the Amity Affliction and Stray From the Path because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic––rescheduled dates are yet to be announced. Currently, they remain slated to appear at the U.K.'s Reading and Leeds Festival in August alongside All Time Low, As It Is and the Maine.
